Types of headaches according to the area where it hurts

Millions of people from the whole world suffer of headache, and each of this pain has another cause and appears in a different area of your head. Here is how you can differ them, to know how to treat them right.
Types of headache
Till finding out what indicate the areas where the headache appears, first of all you should know a little bit about the different types of ache:

The ache caused by pressure is a sensation of tightness or pressure, with a constant intensity. Besides the physical problems of the spine, the pain can be provoked by depression, anxiety, stress and nervousness. This type of ache disturbs the sleep, and when it becomes chronic it has no more trigger factor and in some cases can determine the appearance of insomnia.

The ache of “cluster” type can be associated with a strong sensation of burning or stabbing. It occurs just on a single part of the head, in the eyes area, and the one who suffers of it can hardly succeed to concentrate, or find its place. The cause is the inflammation of capillaries and veins around eyes.

Migraines are a kind of headache which cause have not been identified yet by specialists. It could be about an abnormal activity of brain (at the level of blood vessels). They are associated with the sensibility to light and loud noise, and in more serious cases with feeling of nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and abdominal pain.

What indicates the headache, according to the area in which it appears

When your forehead hurts
When the pain occurs in front, in the forehead area, this could point that your eyes are tired, or that you did not drink enough water (you are dehydrated). Other reasons why you have such ache: blocked sinuses, migraines, ache caused by pressure.

Pain in temples
When your temples hurt, the pain could signal pressure or trigeminal neuralgia (it is strong, usually appears at nape, but it can radiate to temples). The pain “cluster” can also rarely radiate to temple area.

When you feel pain in the back of the head, in the neck
The trigeminal pain is considered as being one of the most powerful, and at the same time one of the most common. It starts from the last vertebrae of the neck. When you are dehydrated, you may feel pain in neck as well. Or, it can hurt when you have high pressure.

When the crown of your head hurts
This ache indicates most often cold and/or fever. Pain in this area can also occur after excessive physical exercise, or during sexual act. The pain because of pressure appears in the crown of the head as well.
